Our beautiful names...Nuestros hermosos nombres

For this prompt, students asked their families to share how they got their names. As a culminating activity, fifth grade students wrote a poem that accompanied a Loteria card which was used to create a personalized class Loteria game. Families were invited to a poetry slam and ended the night playing the personalized Loteria game with teachers, students and family members. Garden Place Academy has also made a school-wide Loteria game.
